Direct distribution is temporary; verification is not. Locoris documents the exact operating-system flow without asking you to weaken device security.

macOSVerify the DMG, then use macOS Open Anyway.Apple Silicon · ad-hoc signed
  1. Compare the complete SHA-256 value shown on the official download card before opening the DMG.
  2. Drag Locoris to Applications and try to open it once.
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, find the Locoris warning and choose Open Anyway.
  4. Confirm Open. Never disable Gatekeeper globally or run a quarantine-removal command.
WindowsVerify the installer before continuing through SmartScreen.x64 · unsigned installer
  1. Run Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 in PowerShell and compare it with the official download card.
  2. In SmartScreen choose More info, inspect the warning, then choose Run anyway.
  3. Do not disable SmartScreen system-wide. On a managed computer, use Locoris Web or ask the administrator.

  1. Compare the APK SHA-256 and the published signing-certificate fingerprint.
  2. Allow installation only for the browser or file manager used for the official download.
  3. Remove the temporary install permission afterwards and never install a repackaged mirror build.

Verify the artifact

A warning is context, not a button to ignore.

Young direct-distribution apps can trigger operating-system warnings before broad signing and store distribution are available. Verify the complete checksum first.

  1. Download from locoris.app or the linked official GitHub release.
  2. Calculate SHA-256 with shasum -a 256 on macOS or Get-FileHash -Algorithm SHA256 on Windows.
  3. Compare the complete value shown on this page; hardened releases also include SHA256SUMS.txt and GitHub attestations.
  4. Only then follow the documented operating-system flow; never disable platform protection globally.
